Family Legacy provides a host of services for pastors, churches, and ministry leaders. Dr. Ed Ashby and Patricia Ashby served as pastoral couple in churches for 20 years and know from experience the unique stresses of the pastoral family. Dr. Ashby earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Growth and Pastoral Development and a Master of Divinity degree, and Pat has a degree in Biblical Studies. Ed maintains his ordination with his denomination, and Ed and Pat continue to be involved in church leadership.
The Ashbys have counseled with numerous ministry individuals and couples and offer caring, confidential support and insight. Ed offers consultation with pastors and church boards regarding conflicts, as well as church health and development. The Ashbys provide a safe and compassionate counseling environment in which to recover from the varied crises in ministry, as well as providing professional counsel for individual issues which affect personal well-being and the marriage.
In addition, all of the Family Legacy counselors are skilled in providing a safe place to address the preventive care needed to help pastors, ministry spouses, and missionaries focus on their own healthy boundaries and self-care. We will journey with you in helping you find the balance of ministry, family and personal life while being committed to understanding your ministry needs, fears, and hopes. Each of the therapists at Family Legacy Counseling has a vibrant personal faith in Jesus Christ and is involved in his or her local church. Our counselors are experienced speakers and frequently conduct seminars, classes, retreats, and workshops for churches, as well as community groups and businesses.
