Therapist’s Statement

I have focused my career on assessing and addressing the needs of children and families, and I count it a privilege to walk alongside my clients in their journey towards growth and change. My approach to treatment uses an attachment lens, and I view parents/caregivers as key partners in the treatment process. I will seek to create therapeutic environment that promotes “felt safety,” and it is my goal to instill hope within each session. My personal and professional life experiences have shaped my clinical work allowing me to share compassion, encouragement, and strength with those whom I serve. I am thankful for the opportunity to integrate my Christian faith into therapy when desired and requested by my clients.

My husband and I have been married for 11 years, and we have two children. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially being active outdoors—biking, boating, walking, skiing, skating. I take pride in my Scandinavian roots and enjoy passing down Swedish traditions to my children. I love the four seasons, a good cup of coffee with flavored cream, deep conversations, and weekends without an agenda!
