A better understanding of one’s personality traits and the deeply-formed influence they have on our day to day activities can help individuals develop and grow. Knowing the dynamics of an individual’s personality can also assist counselors in developing appropriate treatment options.
Personality Assessments can examine a wealth of information, including how an individual approaches a problem, how one makes decisions, how one prefers to refuel depleted emotional reserves, describing an individual’s preferred learning style and more. Our personalities affect and influence our values, and assessments may provide some insight and understanding on our defense mechanisms, our relationship styles and issues, and may assist in the consideration of coping skills.
Personality Assessments can be used for career planning and advancement, in relationship counseling (marriage counseling, pre-marital counseling, and family counseling), in clinical assessment and diagnosis, and in conjunction with other therapeutic treatments, in order to explore better ways to manage the challenges that we face in life.
